By now we’ve all seen the benefits that exercise can have on our bodies. But there are other benefits of exercise that one can enjoy to help your facial appearance appear 10, 15 or even 20 years younger.
Plastic surgery isn’t going to stop your face from aging. All it does is to ‘erase’ the toll that time has taken on your face. But it doesn’t last because your face continues to age. Your skin can appear lifted and revitalized while your facial muscles become stronger, through regular facial exercises. As with your buttocks, thighs and arms the muscles that make up the human face sag and elongate with time. By the age of 55 the human face has elongated approximately half an inch. Why? Because the muscles atrophy. Just as sagging skin on your arms appears to fill and tighten with proper exercise, so does your face.
It’s time to begin a regime of facial exercises. Take pictures so that you can take a good look at your progress. In three weeks, friends will start asking you if you’ve changed you’ve hair or something. Your forehead, jowls, sagging skin on your chin and droopy eyes will begin to bounce back and take on a more youthful appearance. It will feel strange and first, even awkward. It’s a learning thing… Like riding a bike. Be sure not to ignore the rest of your body though. Keep up your exercise regime with it as well. Exercise helps you sleep, after all, and sleep is essential to maintaining young looking bodies and skin. No surgery, no Botox, no drugs or anything else artificial. You can turn back that clock by exercising your facial muscles. (And a good skin cream never hurt anyone.)
If you do nothing to keep your face physically fit, the only thing in your future will be repeated facelifts. Have you seen Joan Rivers lately? ‘Nuff said.
